After composing some music for the documentary film "I am Chris Farley'

for Network Entertainment, I had an opportunity to submit some original music to that company again, in an attempt to land a gig composing for the Johnny Cash documentary they were making.

I ended up not landing that gig, but after spending a weekend locked in my studio,

composing 4 Spaghetti-Western themed , twangy rock and surf demo recordings, I decided I wanted to still use that music for something...

and thus Crooked Rider was born.

The original name for the project was "Crooked Cowboys", but after posting the demos on Bandcamp, I received a scathing email from a guy who had a project on Bandcamp by the same name, and he was extremely aggravated that I was stepping on his turf.

Considering we had a string of events coming up performing for events at International Motorsports(Zach Graham our guitarist's company), I decided to drop the "Cowboys" and change it to "Rider", which made it a much cooler name, so I kind of won that one.

We have played countless shows in the motorcycle community since our inception.
